Frances Cheek, wife of Benjamin Cheek, found guilty on an indictment for the murder of her 6 month old daughter, Hester, by striking her with a thatcher’s bill and cutting her neck so that she instantly died, in the parish of Bradwell on 1st July 1754.  She was ordered to be executed on Monday 12 August and afterwards for her body to be dissected.
